Terms and conditions

Bookings, deposit and what next?


You MUST be 18 years old to get a tattoo!


1. All deposits are NON REFUNDABLE (unless it's our fault).


2. No deposit, no booking. Please be prepared to pay the deposit when you are making the booking.


3. Choosing a date of your appoitment - you have 24 hrs to confirm the date of your appoitment, after that time, if you do not come back to us, the date will be released, no booking will be made.


4. You can pay the deposit by bank transfer or in person while your consultation. If you will not pay the deposit within 48hrs, your appointment will be cancelled and the date will be released and the appointment cancelled.


5. How much deposit do we require?

  • If your tattoo has been priced (it's not a half or full day session), then the deposit is 30% of the tattoo price; for example your tattoo will cost £100, you will have to pay £30 deposit when making booking and £70 on the day.
  • Half day session deposit £100
  • Full day session deposit £200
  • Laser tattoo removal deposit £10-30

NOTE that prices might differ between tattoo artist.


6. Changing the date of your appointment needs to be done within 48hrs before your appointment (if done under 48hrs you will loose your deposit). You can change the date of your appointment only once. 


7. We don’t prepare any designs without a booking and a deposit.


8. All details of your tattoo must be accepted on the day of your booking, that means that you have to provide us with all the information about the tattoo. If you won't tell us or show us what's on your mind, your tattoo design will not contain that part. Last changes can be made up to 48hrs before your booking, after that we might say no or suggest change of date.


9. All designs will be ready for your appointment, if your tattoo artist will not contact you earlier with questions or with the design, please do not send us messages „when will I see the design”. It will be ready for your appointment.


10. If you are getting a bigger tattoo (more then one session, like a half sleeve or a sleeve), your design will be prepared in stages, only for the nearest session. You will not get a full design. People often change their mind or find „a better idea”, so it's easier for both, you and your tattoo artist. You will have the time to prepare any ideas for the next part and your tattoo artist will prepare the design you want.


11. All cover ups require a consultation. Please send us a good photo of your and information what do you want to put on top. Most tattoo's are not coverable, so we might say „get laser treatment”. 


12. You will be charged  £20-30 for a touch up, this covers the cost of preparing the station and used materials (depending on how big the touch up must be done). You will not be charged for time spend with our tattoo atrists.


If you do not agree with our Terms and Conditions please do not book in.

How to prepare for your appointment at Ink Jar:

1. Always be 5 min before your appointment.


2. When entering the shop you will be asked to sanitize your hands, try NOT to touch anything on the way.


3. You have to wear a face mask, but if you are exempt of wearing one, please do get an NHS exemption card from your GP and bring it with or buy a face shield from ebay.


4. Do NOT bring anyone to your appointment, it’s only you and your tattoo artist/laser technician.


5. Bring food/drinks/sweets with you, so you won’t need to go to the shop during a break.


6. If you have any symptoms of any cold/flu/ect, rebook your appointment (you won’t loose your deposit).


7. If you will come in with a cold/cough/running nose (in general showing symptoms of any kind of cold/flu) you will be asked to leave and you will not get your deposit back.


8. Payments can be made by bank transfer or cash (please bring cash with).


9. Sleep and eat well before you appointment!

Time is precious, yours and ours, so:

1. If you want to get a rough price, please send us pics and a description (size, placement and any changes you would like in the design). Please do NOT send us photos of your body parts, we won’t be able to estimate how big they are. If we will require more information, you will be asked.


2. We don't work of tattoo photos.


3. We don’t want to hear or read that “my mate will do it cheaper”, if the price doesn’t come to your expectations, just say “thank you”.


4. Remember we are not mind readers, we prepare designs accordingly to your description. If you won’t give us all the information we will not put them in your design.


5. If you can’t afford doing the tattoo in one go tell us, we can work shorter sessions (if the tattoo can be done in more then one go).


6. Don’t ask for a special price, if we have any offers we will give you options. We have bills to pay and nobody gives us special offers.


7. Please remember that we are humans and we have families, we do need our time off. Be patient, we will reply. If you have an emergency – please message.


8. We provide high quality works, if you don't like our advise or prices – you always have a choice, there are other tattoo shops in the area :)

Gift vouchers are available all year long

You can buy them any time, they are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. It only means that you need to book in an appointment within 90 days, you do not need to use it to pay for your tattoo, simply use it as a deposit. If you have any more questions - fell free to contact us.
